Artist Statement
I am guided intuitively in color and design. My brush strokes are inspired by my involvement in calligraphy. I love the work of Peter Max, Georgia O’Keefe and John Illsley. Their influence comes through in my work.
Painting takes me into my self and what comes through is an expression of feeling in form and brilliant color. The flowing examples of nature and life around me appear in forms altered by watercolor on paper.
My passion for life and my motivation to express myself through watercolor reflects deeper unspoken aspects of my being and my life.
